Due to farsighted and laborious leadership of past and present Presidents of the society, it had grown to have thirty three members till now. The society is serious in meeting the objectives. NSN is regularly conducting CMEs and conferences to update knowledge and novel skills of its members.

It is in continuous touch with local health policy makers and stakeholders to provide valuable suggestions for the benefit of the patients of renal diseases. It succeeded in convincing the government to provide the free care to renal patients which otherwise is out of reach of general population.

NSN has been maintaining the liaison with international nephrology societies and other related national societies of medical fields for the benefit of its members. It was in continuous communication with International Society of Nephrology (ISN) when Nepal was struck by Gorkha Earthquake for managing crush injury related acute kidney injury.

The society is proud of its members and also thankful to them for providing evidence based services to the patients in the fields of hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, critical care nephrology, diagnotic procedures, transplantation and preventive nephrology.
